Chris. February 20th, 1945 - August 30th, 2008.

Glorified and sanctified be God's great name throughout the world
which He has created according to His will.

May He establish His kingdom in your lifetime and during your days,
and within the life of the entire House of Israel, speedily and soon;
and say, Amen.

May His great name be blessed forever and to all eternity.

Blessed and praised, glorified and exalted, extolled and honored,
adored and lauded be the name of the Holy One, blessed be He,
beyond all the blessings and hymns, praises and consolations that
are ever spoken in the world; and say, Amen.

May there be abundant peace from heaven, and life, for us
and for all Israel; and say, Amen.

He who creates peace in His celestial heights,
may He create peace for us and for all Israel;
and say, Amen.

  15. Julie and Steven,

    Words seem so empty at this time. I was so shocked when I spoke with Julie this morning as I hadn't checked my messages....I feel like I inadequately brought any bit of comfort to her. And Steven, I have not stopped thinking about you all day....I hope you know that so many people care about you and your Mom and that your Mom was so thankful for the time she had with you over the last few months. I am just so sorry that her life was cut so short and that she wasn't able to meet your sweet children.

    Much love,
    Deb, Allen and Gabrielle

  18. Julie and Steven,

    There are no words that adequately express how sorry I am for your loss.

    I wanted to share three quotes by Brian Andreas that gave me some comfort in my own grief process:

    "I still remember the day the world took you back & there was never time to thank you for the thousand scattered moments you left behind to watch us while we slept."

    "It is still so new & all we see is the empty space, but that is not how it is in the landscape of the heart. There, there is no empty space & she still laughs & grapples with ideas & plans & nods wisely with each of us in turn. We are proud to have known her. We are proud to have called her friend."

    "I carry you with me into the world, into the smell of rain
    & the words that dance between people & for me, it will always be this way, walking in the light,
    remembering being alive together"

    As always, my thoughts are with you and your family.

    With love and peace,
    jayme

    Heres a song that always helps me through loss...

    “It's the circle of life, and it moves us all, through despair and hope, through faith and love, 'till we find our place, on the path unwinding” - Elton John
