Would you place children with these people...Of Course Not!!!

You Guys!!! I think I have figured it out!! I know why no one has placed children with these people!! THIS is the picture I sent in with our adoption application. Look at us. We are cave dwellers! What on earth was I thinking? Look at our piddly heat source! Good grief. No social worker in her right mind would choose us. And those wild beasts!! One is so wild he is missing an ear!

Typical Bonehead Julie move.

So obviously I need your help. I think if I get a more suitable picture to my agency, we may still have a chance. Any suggestions?

  1. What ARE you talking about - a social worker would know that when it is time to head to the hills - You two know exactly where and what to do ;)

  4. !!! Mama Dog you are right! The leash between the legs, classy! And Moses needs to put the mouse back in the house. Great. It gets worse and worse.

  5. You crack me up! I too blew up the picture for the full effect. The dogs crack me up. I can't tell you how many pictures we have where the mouse is out of the house. I think any social worker would want to place kids with you, I mean why not you have cute dogs, take funny pictures and are just cool people!

I love this picture though...very authentic family.

  9. This made me laugh and choke on my water. You are a funny girl! And just so you feel better, I totally regret a couple of the photos we sent into our agency too. They are horrible! I think I was just trying to get things done quickly.

  10. I am giggling and coughing from your post...

Okay, so the consensus is that you clearly demonstrated adequate survival skills and cavedwelling is a definite plus. My understanding is that parenting regularly requires one to quickly find shelter in the earth...

Maybe what has happened is when your file went through Homeland Security someone went "hey, we should use this family to help us find terrorists..." and your file was diverted...

I say you pull a Colbert and review photoshop submissions of proposed new referral pictures...

Hee hee...now that would be fun...

I think the lipstick is the problem..maybe re-shoot and have him put his lipstick back in the tube.

  14. you do make me laugh. But the comment about the glowing blue codpiece made me laugh harder. It's looks like you forgot to completely change out of your Super Girl Costume. :-)

  15. Ted and I are cracking up at this, especially the codpiece and the lipstick out of the case (what he crap? I hate when this happens with dogs!...and goats--at the place we stayed in Ireland there were two goats, one of which ALWAYS had the mouse out of the house, and it creeped me out horribly)

  21. I LOVE when I look here and it makes me laugh out loud. Your rising happiness is contageous. I definitely do NOT think you should write to your social worker clarifying that you are not cavedwellers with viscious beasts. I think its a lovely picture.
