Don't get six of your traveler's vaccines at the same time. No really, Don't. Even if it saves you an extra visit fee, Don't do it.
I have been violently ill since having my shots yesterday afternoon. I am an idiot.
I am too ill to blog about Big Sur, or anything else for that matter. Learn from my bonehead mistake. I don't want anyone to feel like this.
Also, make sure not to have a 'third time's the charm' pap smear right before said shots. Sigh.

Yuck! Hope you're feeling better soon...
ReplyDeleteKerri, Medina, and Ruby
What were you thinking?!? That's a whole lot of poking and prodding for one doctor's visit! Hope the side effects wear off soon.
ReplyDeleteOut of curiosity, which shots did you get? I got a tetanus shot and one of the Hepatitis shots (can't remember if it was A or B) last week for school, I am definitely going to do the other Hepatitis one for Ethiopia...what else is there?
Feel better soon and thanks for the reminder. I would have gotten them all at once too! Now I won't.
ReplyDeleteSounds bad, hope you feel better very soooon!
ReplyDeleteCindy
Bummer! Hope you feel better soon! Chris got pretty sick from his shots too, but he only did 3 at one time. Somehow I managed to escape the side effects.
ReplyDeleteCall me if you need anything! I am just around the corner... I make a mean lentil soup! ;-)
Oh man 6 needles at once that sucks! I hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeletewow-- that sounds terrible. Those shots made me feel rotten too and they HURT!!!!!!! Hoping that you make a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteOh yuck, I'm so sorry. I really don't think you're much of an idiot though...:)
ReplyDeleteOh that's terrible!!! I got all 7 at once and Marshall got all 8 at once. I didn't know anyone who had a bad reaction to them. (until now)
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon!!!
Well at least you get to have all the suckiness at once. Feel better!
ReplyDeleteOn a positive note, you got the majority over and done with in one shot...(pun intended!)
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon...
Christine
Third time's the charm? as in it took them three tries? Talk about IDIOTS! I'm so sorry to hear that you are so disgustingly sick. I hope your body works it out and moves on soon.
ReplyDeleteOuch! I had totally forgotten that we were supposed to get all of those shots! Thanks for the reminder and the advice!
ReplyDeleteHey, what is the latest estimate for your referral? Ours is February :(
Oh NO! That's why you didn't answer the phone this morning. You were SUFFERING. Well, I hope you feel better soon. I never let G get more than 2 shots at a time. Now, I feel better that I do that so that she doesn't suffer the pain you are in. I am hoping you are better now or a little lovin' from Steven will help!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Deb
I had the same experience... I'll spare the details, but the thyphiod vaccine was the worst for me! Oh, and yellow fever wasn't exactly a walk in the part either. That one can effect you a week to 3 weeks after getting to shot. Special. Of course my husband had no problems whatsoever.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, Yucky! I'm so sorry!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you got sick! The good news is... TRAVEL SHOTS MEAN TRAVEL!! Woo-Hoo! Someday you will travel. Pap smear... ohh, hate those. Why 3??
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you had such a bad reaction. I hope you're back to normal by now.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were at the doctors office she said to Kiana, " do you want to get all the shots now or come back next week for the other half?" Kiana said, "I would have to come back?! No, I want all the shots now, I do not want to return". The doctor said she was very impressed but we all went ahead and haid them all at once. Thank god we didnt get sick. I am very glad however, that I did not include a pap smear with all those shots!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear that your not feeling well :(
