It is Only With The Heart That One Can See Rightly...

And he went back to meet the fox.
"Goodbye," he said.
"Goodbye," said the fox. "And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
"What is essential is invisible to the eye," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.
"It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important."
"It is the time I have wasted for my rose--" said the little prince, so that he would be sure to remember.
"Men have forgotten this truth," said the fox. "But you must not forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose..."
"I am responsible for my rose," the little prince repeated, so that he would be sure to remember.

The only thing better than having breakfast with a little prince, is having breakfast with two little princes...

I have fallen in love...with an entire family.

Please Rebekah...move west.

  1. Quinn, who previously said when he was a grown up he would decide to live on Kauai, said as we approached home tonight: Mom, I've changed my mind. When I'm grown up I'm going to live where Julie lives. Where does she live? Los Angeles? I know which plane to take to Los Angeles. So, expect another 5am phone call from LAX.

What a wonderful morning we had. Can't wait to see you again!

  2. Oh, what beautiful boys. You are lucky. The vacation in Hawaii looked heavenly. I won't talk about it being zero degrees here today. I won't even mention it. at all.

  3. That is one of my all-time top books. My little brother read it the first time when he was probably 8 years old and cried at the ending. It's a good story, and it speaks to both kids and adults.
