Proud Papa
Pip and Squeak wanted to take Steven out for his first (tentative) Father's Day. We went to a very fun restaurant located right next to one of the runways at LAX.
Steven was able to get some lessons from a dad we admire very much.
Here, Matt tries to teach Steven the, "Absolutely not!" eyebrow raise. As you can see, Steven needs to work on his. His says, "Maybe if you ask me one more time?"
Matt has several Dad moves worth emulating...
It's a bird, It's a plane, It's a PIP!!!
Here is Squeak enjoying some ice cream with her amazing mom Lisa. I think they are watching the planes.
I was severely distracted by the chocolate fountain. Is it 'tres declasse' to put a chocolate fountain on a baby registry? Here is my plate. Did I mention there was a chocolate fountain? Sweet, sweet, swan of cream puffiness.
Next year, two more reservations please!
We love these guys!
Steven brought M&m's pictures. They were in his chest pocket. When we got home, I turned on the radio and heard this song. I turned it way up and danced around the house with the dogs.
Here, listen to it...
Turn it up a little.
Start dancing.
Happy Father's Day.
Countdown to Court: Twelve
I know, I know.
It isn't a great idea...a countdown. We need to temper our excitement.
But still.
This June is not at all like last June. Let's just say we are filling our happiness stores for when the inevitable disappointments of life come back.
So, bear with me.
For the next twelve days I will remain effusively, cautiously, optimistic.

Future. Love. Paradise.
Mimi.
I had the privilege of spending the last two days with Mimi. It is impossible to describe Mimi in one blog post. Luckily, she has her own blog, and occasionally her mom puts up a video or two.
I heart Mimi. She is all personality. She needs her own show.
She helped me in the garden...
Can't this Dino go any faster?
We had long, leisurely lunches...
and spent lots of time with her favorite horse...
She asked Moses to clean her stroller...
And she stole a binky...
There is no one like Mimi. She has an infectious spirit, and a tender little heart. Throughout the day, in between ninety minute dance parties (I napped when she napped), she would unexpectedly stroke my hair, or plant a tiny kiss on my cheek. She is so full of love and joy that it is virtually impossible to feel sad when she is around.
I showed her the 8x10 pics we printed up of M&m. She said their names so beautifully, in her sweet little voice.
I can't wait for them to meet her.

Cruz Family Cuteness...
The cutest family in all of California came down to visit us on Sunday.
They liked the 'big dogs', as long as they were on the other side of the glass.
I'm in love with these twins - Seb on the left and Ben on the right. The cuteness quotient is high.
They came bearing gifts for our M&m, and I only ugly-cried once (upon viewing a sundress for Ms. M. What is it about these petite dresses?)
They gave us some tips for our trip to Ethiopia, (some obvious- don't drink the water, some not so obvious- bring conjunctivitis medicine). They used CHSFS to bring home their boys.
We had a great time, and I even got peed on. A good time was had by all.
Thanks for visiting guys! Oh and Ben, sorry I kept sizing you up. You just happen to be the same height as a certain someone I have on my mind.
