Getting Ready. |
It is early. |
One man's flag is another man's microphone. |
Oath. |
Citizens. |
Always one random stranger in our family photos. Must learn photoshop. |
Celebrate. |
The number one way we determine whether a restaurant is fancy enough to celebrate HUGE family moments-little jam jars. Check. |
What happened when he heard they didn't have hot chocolate. |
Sure she asked to wear red, white, and blue.
Yes, she asked that her hair look like Dr.LaBootie's crown.
Doesn't change the fact that they will always remain...
Ethiopian.
indeed. (to the last line.) darling outfits and Dr. Labootie hair.
ReplyDeleteBawling like a baby. It is indeed our nation's lucky day.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous family. Congratulations, America!
ReplyDeleteWow. Wow, wow, wow. So cool.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised they let you take photos inside the Dept. of H. security. They're usually so tight a$$d about it.
What a special day. Loved the outfits, loved the photos. Loved her hair. So regal. Your son is killer too. ;-)
Funny you should mention this. We called to make sure we could bring a camera- the officer said yes. In the hallway as we were leaving, a security card yelled at me, asked for my ID, and gave us an overall hard time. Meazi burst into tears and later said, "I bet this is the part I remember about this day." Sure hope that isn't the truth.
DeleteOh my gosh. The poor thing. The reason I mentioned it was because we had our swearing in ceremony in China and were not even allowed to bring cameras into the building, we had to leave them on the bus. I was wondering if things were different here in the States.
DeleteNot so much, huh?
You're lucky you have pics though. With time hopefully, she'll remember the guy yelling as a quirky story and less as a bad thing. :-) Isn't it amazing how important the swearing in is to us? So cornball I know, but I got all teary eyed and everything.
Congratulations. X2
congrats, America!
ReplyDeleteAmerica smiled a little brighter when those two entered its borders.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! My dude likes to say to us, "I make you Ethiopian and you make me American." :)
