She is about to wake up from her nap, so I don't have much time. She is beautiful, joyful, and affectionate. She is funny. She is grieving. She is feisty. She loves pink, and accessories. She loves chicken, and mangoes. She can make her brother smile instantly. When she is near him, and I am holding him, I can feel his heart rate slow down.
She is mine and I am hers.
This is my son Melese...
He is, as suspected, a chunk of love. A love so chunky, that it cannot be contained in a baby legs leg warmer. He is sweet, and smiley. He is a velcro baby and cannot be put down. He much prefers donated breast milk over sugary orphanage formula. He loves his sister more than anyone. His eyes are huge, and he already knows how to kiss on the lips.
He is mine and I am his.
There is joy.
WOW- I really have no words. You have a wonderful family!

ReplyDeleteone of my favorite hymns came to me as I was reading your post...
ReplyDeleteWhen There's Love At Home
There is beauty all around, when there's love at home.
There is joy in ev'ry sound, when there's love at home.
Peace and plenty here abide, smiling sweet on ev'ry side.
Time doth softly, sweetly glide, when there's love at home.
Chorus: Love at home, Love at home.
Time doth softly, sweetly glide, when there's love at home.
In the cottage there is joy, when there's love at home.
Hate and envy ne'er annoy, when there's love at home.
Roses bloom beneath our feet, all the earth's a garden sweet,
Making life a bliss complete, when there's love at home.
Chorus: Love at home, Love at home.
Making life a bliss complete, when there's love at home.
Kindly heaven smiles above, when there's love at home.
All the world is filled with love, when there's love at home.
Sweeter sings the brooklet by, brighter beams the azure sky.
Oh, there's one who smiles on high, when there's love at home.
Chorus: Love at home, Love at home.
Oh, there's One who smiles on high, when there's love at home.
they are beautiful......
