In a Good News/Bad News Situation...

Good news, Meazi's school provides free music lessons during lunch.

Bad news, Meazi has chosen the violin.

  1. NOOOOOOOO.....

Oh, I feel your pain. Mine started violin in grade 2. Invest in earplugs now.

  3. Wow, free music lessons!

I feel your pain. Royce gave O his old harmonica, and it drives me insane.

  4. YAY! Love love love the violin! :) I am uber jealous that the school provides music lessons like that.

  5. I hate noise. My children are beyond loud, so I relate somewhat. Given that, A will probably choose a tuba or something when given a chance! She looks so grown up in this picture!

  6. Oy. Painful. But the potential for some great sounds long term!!! Just keep your eye on the prize... ha!

  7. I usually make Molly practice outside. So the neighbours can "enjoy" her incredible talent. I does get better (and I can tell you, from experience, it is better than the saxaphone).

  8. Melese looks similarly chagrined.

  9. You can totally do this!!!!!
My kids all play...it is really great. But those Suzuki tunes will follow you to your grave.
    No kidding.

  10. That made me gag a little. I've been actively planting anti-violin seeds in Sidamo's brain, and they're backfiring. Do you have a garage? Earplugs?

  11. Personally, I would take a string instrument over something like a trumpet. Lauren started playing the violin at about the same age and I have enjoyed hearing her play from the beginning. It's been such a joy to watch her progress. And with free lessons??!!! Wow! Enjoy this time while it lasts!
